Lisa Mulgrew

 

Soprano Lisa Mulgrew, born in Lethbridge Alberta holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Lethbridge, where she studied with Dr. George Evelyn and Dr. Sandra Stringer Conlon. She just completed her Master of Music in Literature and Performance degree from Western University in London, Ontario spring 2015. Lisa has embraced advanced study opportunities with programs across the country and abroad, including La Musica  Lirica (Novafeltria Italy), Canadian Operatic Arts Academy (London Ontario), and Wendy Nielsen’s Vocal Technique Workshop (St. Andrews by the Sea, New Brunswick). Her most recent performances include      'Cio-Cio-San' in Puccini's Madama Butterfly with La Musica Lirica,  'Female Chorus' in UWO Opera's production of The Rape of Lucretia, and the 'Mother' in Amahl and the Night Visitors with the University of Lethbridge Opera Workshop. In addition to performing, Lisa is a passionate advocate for music education and advancement, and teaches through the University of Lethbridge Music Conservatory as a private voice instructor and hopes to continue furthering her musical education next year.
