Concert I: Zyklus

Four masterpieces of German romanticism: two song cycles by Wagner and Korngold, featuring Martha Renner and Lisa Mulgrew, Beethoven’s beloved Les Adieux sonata featuring Theresa Thordarson, and Jesse Plessis will tackle the monumental Sonata in B Minor by Franz Liszt. Martha Renner’s stunning performance of Henryk Gorecki’s Symphony No. 3 Symphony of Sorrowful Songs at the 2015 Centric Festival held the audience rapt and tearful – this will be another performance not to miss!
