Heather Jean Jordan

Singer/songwriter Heather Jean Jordan always has a story to share- whether it is through her own writing or interpreting the work of others.

Raised in rural Manitoba, Heather Jean grew up loving and performing old-time music, folk songs, and tunes from the American Songbook. She also undertook training through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano and Voice, continuing her studies at Brandon University’s School of Music. While attending university for Voice, Heather Jean began writing her own songs, infusing them with shades of Folk, Opera, and Broadway.

Known for her extensive range, and clarity of tone, Heather Jean's voice harkens back to a different age. Although at times dreamy and dark, there is an overwhelming lightness of spirit and sense of humour that shines through her work. Now making her home in Banff, AB, Heather Jean has had the pleasure of performing at Canmore Folk Festival, Banff Harvest Festival, Alberta Culture Days, and two previous editions of Centric Festival, among others. She also performs with her sister Theresa as a duo called Mrs. Ulysses, and with a variety of musical friends under the name The Bartoks. She is thrilled to be back in Lethbridge!
