Since his outstanding appearance at the International Chopin Competition (2015 silver), Canadian Charles Richard-Hamelin has become one of the most important pianists of his generation. Come and listen to a stunning program of Chopin, Debussy, Enescu, Mendelssohn, and Rachmaninov.

About the event
Centric MusicFest is excited to present French Canadian pianist, Charles Richard-Hamelin in one of only two appearances in Alberta this summer! Charles is the winner of the silver medal and the Krystian Zimerman Prize (best performance of a sonata) at the prestigious Frédéric-Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2015. He won second prize at the Montreal International Competition and third prize and special prize for the best performance of a Beethoven sonata at the Seoul International Music Competition in Korea. Prix d'Europe 2011 and Révélation Radio-Canada 2015-16, he received a Career Development Award from the Women's Musical Club of Toronto.
